Solid roller with stock heads (LT1)

No real idea yet on the size cam I am going to use but its going to be a daily driver so its going to be on the small side for low end torque but still make power into the upper 6 thousands, when the heads are done. Just wondering what sort of improvements I would see from the solid roller alone, is it worth throwing in before the head porting or would it be more worthwhile to do it all at once even if I had to wait atleast a year? If the bottom end does need some refreshing I will be driving it with only a cam for a while if thats a good idea.

I know Ed (Ed95Pont) runs a solid roller on stock heads. Maybe try to get with him for a recomendation, he is pretty good at cam help and suggestions.

A local guy (vulva) put down a tad over 400 RWHP with a solid roller and bone stock heads.

Just curious but with a solid roller with whatever amount of power, would you get the same gas milage as any other car with the same amounts of power?
