The Use of Glyptal in an Engine...
How is it different than other medias for internal block/oil gallies. Does anyone use it in an engine rebuild presently? How effective is it compared to other medias?...Any adverse effects from it's use (i.e. heat retention, contamination of oil, etc.)? Thanks...

hmmm... I had the same concerns for my build-up. With the use of synthethic oils (primarily esters which are not usually happy with paints in general) I'm starting to wonder. The thing is, red Gyptal is a high-temperture electrical sealant and is designed to resist oils.
I've never heard of anyone having problems, but I imagine a poor surface-prep could cause flaking like any other paint (especially if it had any oil on it as the paint is designed to repel it (or from it).
I know people sold on it, and those yelling K.I.S.S., I'm holding off until I hear a convincing arguement one way or the other.
