Dropped lifter into cylinder.

So I was checking pushrod length and I accidentally dropped a lifter into the cylinder. I can feel two little nicks on the cylinder wall. What should/can I do. The bottom end is assembled and I'd rather not disassemble it if possible. Can the nicks be honed out with the piston installed?

Personally, I wouldn't do anything. Can't imagine a lifter would make that big of a nick. If it really bothers you, you could do a little touch up with a fine stone(dremel) or sand paper.

I would definately smooth out the nicks if there are any raised area's, but dont make the hole any bigger. Check for raised area's by using something like a razor blade. If the raised area stay's there then the rings will get nicked as well and you'll have the entire stroke with a small nick. If you smooth out the nick all you have is a small dimple on the wall of the cylinder which will do nothing at all.

Alright, thanks. Its not very big at all, but I figured I'd ask just in case.
