SKM,
I see your point and theory in a full blown race application. (i.e. race bread heads) But, for a street car (usually inferior head desighns) I can't see going to a 2.10 in intake and having to leave the exhaust @ 1.60.

For the "average" street car guy the blower was bought to overcome the inadaquicies of stock head designs. That being said: the blower and moderate intake porting would overcome the same amount exhaust porting. So the "average" guy might want to do a little extra work on the exhaust system from valve to rear bumper.

I'd say your not the "average" guy and your info is much appreciated!!! Thanks

Edit: also I see elsewhere on the board that cup cars are trying out 50and 60 degree seats to prevent valve bounce. But the "average" guy with stock type heads can use all the low lift flow he can get cause he doesn't lift the valve much over .500. Definately not a good Idear for a blown engine with .700 lift cam though.

I said 2.100" int.. nawwww.. or did i.. i dont think i did.

Air is air.. and I'm pretty average.. I just want to go fast. If you get a 25% gain at 28" h2o, then when the blower bumps the pressure way up, the volume of air is going to be much higher, so the increase in efficiency will generate even more of a gain. 25% of 280 = 70 @ 28", but if it flows 340 at 40", then that's 85cfm... something to think about. Alot of my responses are vague.. b/c i dont tell people things that they wont ever use, and might be picked up by ppl trying to compete... but eh.. some of the stuff is logical methinks.

Who knows.. ive been having a few drinks & just got back from having some inbred bastard try to tell us we were ripping off their friend b/c 350's cant make over 425hp (yeah at the fly) with topend work.. hmph.

And the reverse is true. (your statement about the competition) Sure hope people don't misrepresent the truth to throw the competition off cause then the little guys like me would be losing out.

425hp? They must be butts!!!!

The one thing i do not do, is lie. You cannot be successful in this business as a liar long term.. some have found short term success through deciet... but they always get found out in short order, PP for instance LOL.

Like with anyone still involved in competition they are not gonna give ya any TOP SECRET info. If ya are lucky you will get a few hiny or something but most of the info given to average guys is pretty much "common knowledge" to their competition.

They can not give ya much more info than that. Everything on these boards are free so it's kinda like free info (free knowledge).

There are some people that give ya bogus info to make sure ya never catch em but SkarodoM will give good info. Most of it is "common knowledge" to his competition but "VERY HELPFUL" to us. I have never known of SkarodoM to give faulty or bad info but he will be "VAGUE" in alot of areas. So if ya want ALL of the info (recipe) for a certain combo ya have to go buy a book (probably outdated info), pay the "BIG GUYS" to do it or just listen to the tid bits that is dropped by similar people and build it your self. Some people in SkarodoMs shoes may give bad or misleading info but so far it seems he has given good info. Even though it is "common knowledge" to them it is better than most books ya can buy.

Just teasing referring to an email we had....remember?

You said you dont have much experience with turbocharged engines, you pretty much stay with n/a engines which i haven't built any of. Just boost motors

just trying to make ya laugh, nothing meant by it

That's what I thought. My pops said something and I went hmmmmmmm.......

The more I learn about boosted motors the more they are similar to NA, it's just the HP level can be higher.
