That is an extremely vague question, and if you want it to stay in advanced you should add some more "advanced" wording to it before it gets moved.

But anyway, depends on if its a carbed LT1 or SBC, id assume you mean SBC since you ask about the kmember, which in that case would require a BMR or similar tubular Kmember for 4th gen with SBC/BBC mounts

Oh, and its definitely been done many times.

I would have a question to add though for a friend... has anyone made a carb fit in a 4th gen without cutting the cowl and removing the wipers?

Add specific info about the block and induction system you intend to use. In responses include the year of your car and the block you used, or the info is sort of useless.

Have you done a "search"? There are several threads regarding carb conversions on this forum and on LT1 Engine Tech.

Well here you go. Of course, these are with the LT1 intake mod,
(not my car) but the only difference with a carb is a slight cut on the cowl. The stock hood can be used if you don't go crazy with the manifold and air cleaner. Better to go with a SS or cowl hood though.

I adapted an LT1 intake over to a late-model caprice Gen1 SBC. (perfect for the project) I use the sensor from an opti on a fabbed cover to fool my control module. I ran a carb for a while though at first. I don't know why everyone whines about clearance issues. In my opinion it opened the engine bay up by a good margin.

People are nuts.

Ok, I thought you were still running the carband single plane, with the LT1 intake there are no clearence issues as you have, I figured that i can get by with nothing larger than the ss hood with my set up but ill have to wait and see.

I agree tho the clearence for the distributor is not as bad as many people think and then if you go with something like a crab distributor then it becomes even better,

Yeah, I thought you were talking a carbuerated intake. But if it were me I would make damn sure I had a sweet distributor in there cuz I would not want to replace it.
