est. HP numbers, 383

I think I have my set up for my 383 what do you think it will put out

383ci
AFR 195`s 70% ported
750cfm holley double pumper
K&N filter 14x5"
Compcam .501 lift in. ex. 218 dur. 110 LSA hyd. flat tappet cam
Team G single plan intake
10.5:1 comp.
94 oct. fuel

Is that good for 400hp

and I`m open for idea`s

Is that a good cam choice? will I have good power and a lumpy idle with that cam?

I think you are on the right track-some suggestions:

Add some more camshaft with 10:5-1 compression
maybe a Comp12-433-8 hydraulic roller-more lift to take advantage of the flow numbers of the AFR heads
specs-288/294 .520/.540 lift

I put in AFR 190 CC with their comp port job, 750 CFM, single plane intake, Comp HY Roller cam, 10:5-1 cp,

460 HP@6000
443 TQ@5000

+/- 10% for the DD 2000 simulation. Good luck.

I was looking at some cams and here`s what I found

Comp cams retro fit roller
Street/strip cam needs 4:10 gears intake and headers very rough idle
3000-6500 rpm
304HR grind
Duration 304
@ .050 244
Lift .600
LSA 110

Comp cams retro fit roller
needs headers intake rough idle limited vacuum
2500-6000rpm
286HR grind
Duration 286
@ .050 230
lift .560
LSA 110

Comp cams hyd flat tappet
Racing cam needs intake gears headers 10.5:1 CR Racy idle
3000-7000 RPM
305H grind
Duration 305
@ .050 253
Lift .525
LSA 110

Comp cams solid flat tappet
Street/strip needs 10.5 CR low gears headers intake Racy idle
3000-7000 RPM
306S grind
Duration 306
@ .050 260
Lift .555

I will be running a T-56 and 4:10 posi 12 bolt 1 3/4 headers and 3" duel exshust and 1.5 roller rockers

It will be a street/strip car mostly street summer only

Here is what I get with the above, but change heads to AFR 210 CC.

Comp 306 S 455@6k................422@5k

Looks like the 286 is the best all around street/strip. Hope this helps.

How did you find out what it would put out you even have it down to what rpm and stuff you must know alot about this stuff.

if I can get mine pumping out almost 500hp I`d be happy as hell but your car would still rape me waching your dyno run my jaw hit the floor that Z28 must pin you to the seat

thanx for the help I`ll look into the 210`s and I`ll get the 286HR cam I`ll also look in to a hydra rev kit to

It's called Dyno 2000-available for $40. You do have to put some hours in adding all the flow data,cam specs,etc-otherwise pretty simple. I just happened to have all the cam and head data already loaded. Keep in mind that DD is not an exact science, but more like educated guessing.
