What doors fit what?

I am just starting a 86 IROC that needs a door. I know the general body was the same 82-92. Are there any years that I don't want for a 86' Also mine is a power window car are the power door the same. My first 3rd gen so thanks for any help.

i believe all models 82-92 will fit. you will need to swap the panel off ofcorse. some models will have holes in the door skin where GFX once were, so those will need to be filled if your not using the GFX. other then that they should all just bolt right up

Cool,
Anyone know of a clean pass one for sale close to DFW.
Red is a plus.

watch ebay

I found a pair, clean, mint doors for $150, I drove 12 hours round trip to pick them up (saved shipping)

I don't even know what year the doors are that I put on my car. Except for cosmetic differences, 82-92 body and chassis parts are all the same.

The only exception is the few differences between a Camaro and a Firebird.

My camaros got a door from a 91 firebird on it. Aside from drilling the holes for the ground effects it was as bolt on thing

if your just replacing the doors because of the skins, it would be easier to replace the skin instead of the whole door. classic industries sells skins at a good price i believe. although, if you have no body skills it would cost a few bucks to tack em on. you wouldnt have to paint the jams though, which is involved with a whole door swap from a different color.

if the bottom of the door is rotted out then yes, replace the whole door. classic sells whole doors also (repo and GM) i was going to buy new doors for my other car. i believe they were 200 a pop? not bad for a totaly new door

Sometimes Its cheaper from a junk yard to find a good door & only spend like $50 for the door. But yes All doors from all 3rd gens should fit on either the Camaro or Firebird.

I changed mine just to remove all the power options. I was able to sell the original doors locally for a very reasonable price.

Original doors complete with power windows, mirrors, and inner panels were 105 pounds each.

The stripped down doors I picked up from the junkyard were 60 pounds each. Since then I've removed the glass and window regulator and installed Lexan. I have no idea what thet weigh now but as far as I'm concerned they're still too heavy. A nice set of fiberglass doors is what I really need.
