Spark plug example with 3000 miles
 

Only 3k miles on it.
If you remember Im the dude with the smoking problem (at start up) with a really bad fuel smell at initial warmup.

The wires on the car are like 7mm bosche as well.

I just upgraded to MSD 6A.

This plug came out of cyl 1. Only one I feel like getting out right now (back hurts).

That plugs looks BEAT....3000 miles and it's that oxidized. Go to your local pep boys and just flip to the last page of any chiltons manual, I'm pretty sure they all have a page with like 8 different pictures of spark plugs and what the problem is for each thing. I honestly couldn't say what was going on, but that doesn't look right.

Actualy the plug doesn't look all that bad,however you might change brands of fuel,and see if that helps. 3k on a set of plugs is about right with a multy spark unit. Also use a tread chaser and clean out the spark plug holes,thoughs threads look worse than the tips. Honestly try changeing brands of fuel it worked for me.

but since your car smokes on startup the only thing that will fix this is new valve guide seals.

try using valvoline high milage oil first though. its worth a try

I'd say that's more likely due to bad gas than oil consumption. Worn valve guides tend to show more on the rear plugs, 7 and 8, not the #1 plug which sits slightly higher (assuming level ground). Try using another name brand gasoline first.

Another possibility would be a weak spark causing incomplete combustion.

I finally got all the plugs out. One of them had no gap whatsoever...

if it was crushed against the electrode there is probably debris floating around in the cylinder and you will have to find and remove it. then fix whatever broke

Two things that USUALLY cause that is cheap Wally World recondisioned plugs,and or over torqueing the plugs. Chase the plug hole to clean them out,put fresh (name brand) plugs gaped at .60,and change gas brands,you will be supprzed with the differance.

The deposits near the tip look fairly normal, however the burned blackened portion tells me it's running hot from:
A) overheating
B) too hot heat range plug
C)lean mix
