Hey I know I sound like a newbie asking this but I didnt feel like getting under the car and checking since I'm alredy sitting on the computer.
What does a stock 86 IROC have for shocks and struts, specifically which are on the front and rear because I was looking to buy new rears cause my big tires rub on the passenger side but not on the driver and they sell rear shocks and struts, which does mine have i dont want to buy the gas-a-just struts and then discover I have shocks when I get the wheel off.
Another thing Summit sells their own brand adjutable drag shock, that you can change it says you can set it to like 90/10 which according to them is normal, but is that racing normal or street normal, I'd like to have the performance option to run them at the track but I want to know that im safe with them under my car on the street cause I drive it every day, just wat to know if the ratios the shock offers are streetable?

why do you want new shocks?
your tires will still rub if you get new shocks.
shocks dont hold the car up the springs do

and nobody has answered if the shocks I want are streetable safely yet
DarthIROC - I'm not too familiar with drag racing setups, but I believe the 90/10 setup would be more of a track setup than a street one. It is intended to aid in transferring the weight quickly upon launch and also to be relatively stiff on rebound which also plays into weight transfer to the rear. Did you call the tech folks at summit and ask them?
