Need help with a vacuum line..

RIGHT behind the carb, coming out of a fixture out of the intake manifiold, there is a vacuum line. All of a sudden it's disconnected from wherever, and the car runs like sh*t if it's not plugged. I cannot find an opening to where it might go though; any suggestions?

I had an identicle problem today. I could NOT figure out what the problem was. After a 10 minute brain fart I figured out it went to my brake booster, check that.

how big is the line? it very well could be the brake booser if its a large linei n diamater. otherwise, check the egr valve vacuum line, make sure its not the pcv valve hose, etc. Get a book, it will tell you the vacuum routing, since I assume yourdiagram from the factory is either long gone, or covered over with dirt and grease.

it's not the brake-booster line, I already checked that. It's not PCV either
I have a haynes manual, but what should I look under; vacuum routing? Thing is it's NOT the stock carb or distributor that's why I was confused..

If it doesnt go to your EGR, Distributor, pcv, or barke booster, then go down to a parts store and see if you cant get some of them threaded steel plugs to screw into the manifold to block off the line. I'd just block it off somehow.
