Guy at work has a 84 Camaro. Smashed up the front end two years ago and has never ran since. Car finally ready to start after removing damage that was hitting the engine. What should he do before attempting to start the car for the first time?

 

change the oil and prime the motor. use 15-40 rotella-t as it has the reqd additives for a flat tappet motor. this way youre chances of rolling a lobe are greatly lessend.

also if possible, drain the tank and put fresh fuel.
