Can someone recommend a good brand of exhaust?
I've been searching for and wide for a company that has a really high quality exhaust system, and the closest thing I've found so far is Borla.
P.S. What parts do I need to convert Carb back to fuel injection?

hooker is a good exhaust, cheap too...theres a few out there...you can also piece one together usuing dynomax parts....
as far as intake, find somebody selling the whole thing due to swapping to a carb....or find a doner car, and swap everything over...

GMMG is a bad *** exhaust
to me borla is just a $700 cutout
i'd be willing to bet magnaflow makes a 3rd gen exhaust. they look good, sound awesome, flow awesome and cost only about $400

You can use pretty much any 4th gen exhaust on your car, you just have to have a shop modify where the i-pipe to cat meet up.
I ran a Pacesetter 3" stainless steel catback from a 95 Trans Am on my 86 Trans Am.
and here is a video clip so you can hear the sound,

Try the GMMG. Its well constructed, free's up some HP, and sounds great. If you want to graft a 4th gen system, try the Corsa.
The Borla is a nice system, but it loud as hell INSIDE the car even when driving normal with no plate in the pipe. The original owner put it on my '99. Its common out and the GMMG or Corsa is going in.

Re: Can someone recommend a good brand of exhaust?
My vote's for Hooker, from the header all the way through, with exception to the dorky dual-2.5 inch exhaust tips.
You can do a header through exhaust tip exhaust in Hooker for about $600. Just call Thunder Racing and ask for Dave, extension 302. He's always set me up and this cat-back I've got on the Minirammed 385 rocks. http://www.thunderracing.com
p.s. My car was carbuerated and I've done the full EFI conversion. Right now I'm trying to work in an updated system from FAST, and just took a break to check out your post.

if your going with shorty headers, I highly recomend the hookers with the 3" y pipe (part #2055 i think). Cat backs however you got a lot of choices. Borla is not at all worth the money
