Blinker conked out

i bought my camaro about a month ago and ive been doin work to it each weekend like gaskets and oil. well anyway i wont be registering it until the end of summer. when i bought it all the signals and lights worked. jsut yesterday i was testing to see if they still worked and they diddnt. heres what i know... let me know if you think you know what it might be:

the hazard lights work outside the car and the indicators work also.therefore the bulbs are good. the windheild washer and wipers work so im not sure if its the lever or not. but when i bought it the lever diddnt self cancel when the left blinker one was put on.

I know that I used to have problems with my signals every once and a while. I ran the wires back to find that someone had cut'em and had put em back togetehr witha connector. I ended up running a whole new wire and it was all better. Dunno if thats what you should do or not, but it'd prolly work.

was it difficult to get to the wires and the inside switch inside the column? i also thought it might be the flasher moduol in the fuse panel, im not sure is that a comon problem by any chance.

The flasher is the first thing you should check. Just pull it out and use a paperclip to jump the terminals that it plugs into. If the signals still don't come on, then something else is the problem. If they come on and stay on then that flasher is shot.

I aint gonna lie, it was a pain in the ***, getting everything to lign up was almost impossible, but with a little patience, it can be done.
