Alternator good, but not charging... (starter related?)
I put my engine back in and did the grounds on the back of the heads, then ground the neg. battery to the front of the head. Ran all my wires to the starter (3 O-connectors on the large terminal, 2 on the smaller terminal), but my alternator will not charge my battery! The battery tested fine and the alternator tested fine at autozone and murrays, but there was zero volts (aucutally it measured --.-- on their scanner) going back to the battery to charge it while the car was running.
Anyone have any ideas? Please!
Thanks

I know this sounds kind of stupid but did you hook up the red wire to the back of the alternator BAT lug. Stranger things happen.

Found my problem. I feel like an idiot admiting this, but the wire that runs from the alt to the battery musta fell down with the other wires so I just attached it to the small stud. Only the purple wire is suppoed to be attached. Runs like a champ now
Thanks for responding guys!
