VENTURA, CA – Like the iconic ’69 ZL1 Camaro, the new Magna Charger ZLs™ equipped 2010 Camaro features an all-aluminum 500hp engine wrapped in crisp Gen 1-inspired sheet metal. However, that’s where the similarities end. Chevrolet sold just 69 of the highly coveted ZL1s and virtually none of them ever saw the street. By contrast, almost anyone can build a Magna Charger ZLs. It’s as easy as bolting on a new Magna Charger MP 2300 TVS supercharger system. While the original ZL1 was reported to have more than 500hp and 450ft.lbs. of torque pushing the car to low 13s @ 110mph, the ZLs is even more powerful, and capable of 12.5s @ 115 mph. What’s really nice is that you can drive the Magna Charger ZLs every day without a penalty in fuel mileage or low-speed driveability. Where the original ZL1 was a cantankerous 8mpg anachronism, the ZLs is smooth, quiet and clean – equally ready to deliver top EPA mileage figures or smoke the tires in any gear – your choice!

Magna Charger’s new MP 2300 supercharger technology is the same used for the new ZR1 Corvette. The four-lobe rotor features a high-twist 160º helix that has improved efficiency (less power to drive), cooler discharge temperatures and is much quieter. Additional efficiency is the result of the unique bypass valve that reduces parasitic drag during normal driving. The Magna Charger also interfaces seamlessly with the GM Active Fuel Management system (some models) that cuts the engine to four cylinders at light throttle.

The Magna Charger ZLs system comes complete with a new, patented high-velocity aluminum intake manifold, integral water-to-air intercooler, and all necessary brackets, connectors, hardware and any needed specialized tools. The supercharger has a self-contained lubrication system that is maintenance-free. Calibration is included with a handheld computer programmer that re-programs the factory ECU and stores the original calibration for possible future use. A full instruction manual with color photos makes the step-by-step installation process easy to follow.

All Magna Charger supercharger systems carry a Standard 3-Year Limited warranty on the supercharger system, and Magna Charger also offers an optional 36,000-mile/3 Year Powertrain Warranty. For more information and to order, please visit http://www.hotpart.com

Cool.

12.5 @ 115? Seems like half a second and 5mph isn't much to gain from a supercharger. Then again, this is powertrain only, right? No suspension or tire changes? With that in mind, wouldn't it be more informative to talk about dyno numbers than quarter mile times?

is factory 5yr /160Kms and or GMPP lost when these babies are installed??
I assume yes...

492 RWHP and 455 ft.lbs. RWTQ! These are the ratings Magnuson will be publishing, and they are produced with only 6 pounds of boost.

If it's anything like the vette's, it'll rip!!

I'm assuming that 6psi is about the safe limit without meth injection?

Will someone figure out if this rear end will withstand any kind of abuse? Hate see all the money spent only to run on slippery street tires.
I'm hearing axle shaft spline failures on the street with street tires? Hopefully just a manufacturing defect.....

Magnuson is not allowed to use the trademarked TVS name but they are the exact same units. Hennessey and Lingenfelter both utilize the Magnuson Products supercharger system that includes all of necessary components required for a complete and thorough installation. The programmer, fuel injectors, intercooler, intercooler pump, intercooler reservoir, hoses, clamps, wiring, fuses, intake manifold gaskets, intake manifold, intercooler, aftercooler, brackets, hardware, manifold lid, supercharger, inlet adapter, hump hoses, auxiliary shaft, auxiliary belt, auxiliary bearings and every other nut bolt washer wire tie and fuel disconnect tool that you will need to properly install the supercharger kit.

For now the computers must be sent to them for programming until the handhelds can be upgraded to the new applications.

will the factory engine cover fit over the blower? i think that would be slick if you could hide it under there.

BOSSUPSGENERAL 06-24-2009 12:01 AM

Do you think these will be legal in california?

I don't know about hiding it completely, but the sides have been put back on with some modification:
