I'm not sure how much you know about this, but here's the details...

It is widely believed that ALL LS7 heads have strong potential to drop a valve into the combustion chamber, thereby destroying the engine (which is around $15,000 to replace, give or take, with labor). This is due to a valve guide machining error where the seat wasn't perfectly concentric with the guide (more info). It doesn't matter the year or if it is in the C6 Z06 or the 5th gen Z/28. It has happened at 1,000 miles and at 50,000 miles. GM hasn't exactly owned up to the issue, and there has been more than one class action lawsuit attempted. One is still in the works.

I just had mine fixed. Here's a video I released about it:

Short version. My advice is to get it fixed ASAP. Don't roll the dice unless you have a spare $15k laying around.

I went with AHP. Here's another video I released about them.

Call them up, tell them I sent you.
