2014 Camaro SS TR6060 79k miles - would you replace hyd T/O bearing (clutch slave)?
I bought a TR6060 out of a 2014 Camaro SS that had 79,000 miles on it for a swap project. The hydraulic throw-out bearing (clutch slave cylinder) looks to be in good shape, but it does have 79k miles on it.
LUK replacement is $300
DURALAST replacement is $170
Rockauto sells CENTRIC, PLATINUM DRIVELINE & AMS AUTOMOTIVE brands for prices ranging from $136 to $195.
I am concerned an aftermarket replacement hyd T/O bearing / clutch slave cylinder would be inferior in quality to the OE GM unit that is on the transmission now. How often do these go bad and should I replace it while the transmission is out?

Unless pulling the trans is particularly easy for you, I’d replace it while it’s readily accessible. Mine (on a 2002 T56) went bad around 90k miles, and that’s common.
For clarity: I’m not sure what, if anything, has changed about them in the intervening years. I’m just extrapolating.
