Will the 5th gen do a burnout?

So the New "Retro" Mustangs have that computer traction control that prohibit the driver from doing a burnout unless you get the programmer. Are they gunna do this with the 5th Gen?

Maybe so but I really hate the idea of any traction/stability management system that can't be COMPLETELY turned off with the flick of the switch ;)

Haha that's funny...the guy that lives across the street from my parents has a new auto GT...he said Sunday "the damn thing is a dog, I have to brake torque the hell out of it just to get the tires to do a lame chirp, with the TC off."

Of course, most things to this guy would be a dog. He also has a '69 Vette with a blown 509 and a 150 shot of nitrous.

Why do all their advertisements show it burning tire?

So you're telling me they all have undefeatable traction control? WTF? No wonder they're so f***ing slow.

With the IRS, I'm just hoping it won't be wheel-hop city.

No other rwd GM performance car features this garbage, so heres hoping the Camaro won't be burdened with an undefeatable traction control system.

if the camaro has always follow the corvette then... this is what we will probably see.

3 different driving modes:
Normal Driving mode - Traction control + active handling
Competitive Driving - active handling (let's you burn out as much as you want without getting sideways and take turns as fast as the car can without spining out)
Trac/Handl Off - none

Tell the guy to 1st rack up over 3000 break-in miles.

Then tell him to turn off the traction control AND the overdrive on his AOD tranny then try it. ;)

Much like Chrysler's system, Ford has a system in place that protects the engine till it's properly broken in.

The manual tranny Stangs with break-in have no problem at all lighting them up..... and I mean really lighting them up!
