I don't think you can do a much better ET than that for a stock Camaro.

There's another tenth - perhaps as much as two - still to be found. I think we'll see some a 112 mph trap speed too.

FYI....this weekend was quite cool in the midwest (for July... high temp was 69F at Cordova Saturday), which certainly helps with power-production and the quicker-than-you-might-think ETs.

you dont need a supercharger to beat a stock gt500. headers, exhaust, maybe new rubbers, intake, good tune. and you should be set.

I agree! My Bud's best when his GT500 was totally stock was 2.19 60', 12.858 @ 112.98. But keep in mind we only go to the track about three times a year so our driving abilities are limited.
I think the driver mod will play the biggest role!
With LCA, CAI and canned tune on my GT500, I'm running 12.5 @116 on a 2.13 60' with factory rubber.
If you have driving skills, you'll be very competitive.

My point exactly. "Most" people with our cars will never get to find the sweet spots and a car that is touchy to launch has a disadvantage in that driver's hands. Not to say it isn't a faster car on slicks.

LS motors break in at the 5K mile mark. That may help a smidge.

Well the 60ft time is relative to the vehicle and the tires/traction. For a lot of performance street cars on street stock tires a 1.9 is about as good as it gets. A 2.0 being very good and 2.1-2.3 being average. A quick rule of thumb says that a tenth improvement in 60ft equates to a .2 sec improvement on ET.
Obviously drag radials or slicks would easily improve upon those times.

As for a perfect 60ft time... I'd have to say a NHRA TF Dragster at .8 sec and near 100mph is about as good as it gets!

Awww.... come on man, SS F5s kill GT500s, V6 F5s kill GTs

Anyways, I wish I could say it was a stock '10 GT, but its got an offroad X-pipe and a stiffer upper RCA (Ford really needs to address the stock upper RCA).

Only 109mph? I thought we'd see better trap speeds than that (like 111-112).

2.0 is what I consider "good" for a stock suspension and street tires. If you can beat that, you're doing great. If you can't, you need more practice.

If you disagree, find me any mass-produced, factory-stock car in which a decent driver can do better on the tires it came with from the factory. Guess what! You won't find it, because it doesn't exist.

Now, if you're on drag tires, yeah, 2.0 is terrible.

I must correct you sir! "No way in hell any mod motored (even modified) Mustang can beat any stock F5 Camaro...EVAR". This is the mantra, deviate and I'm pull'n your Camaro Card!

Anyways, speaking of the driver mod, was it here or elsewhere somebody posted a 15 sec 1/4 time for a GT500
