Top Gear tests the 5th gen Camaro

AIRING ON JULY 11, 2010

Although Top Gear season 15 is slated to start in all of one hour, as of posting this, it has already been leaked onto the Wikipedia page that episode 3, airing on July 11th, will feature Richard Hammond driving our beloved coupe as well as the Mercedes E63 AMG.

Scroll down to Season 15.

Can't wait!

Best part is, we won't have the running commentary from Clarkson talking about how much he dislikes the thing while behind the wheel. Richard seems to be the better pick for host as he has the wherewithal and open mindedness to anything that isn't German or English in origin.

This will be very interesting to watch. Richard is the ideal one to drive it, but dont think Clarkson wont rip into it when he has a chance. I can't wait.

Chevycobb 06-28-2010 07:33 AM

First episode of season 15 was last night. Torrents are out there in SD and HD.

2010_5thgen 06-28-2010 05:34 PM

i just checked my dvr and it wasnt recorded from last night. what time is it on? its on BBC america right? or is it on a different chanel?

HAZ-Matt 06-28-2010 05:49 PM

No, Series 15 just premiered on BBC 2 this past Sunday in the UK... BBC America shows slightly edited versions of the episodes, but they are delayed. In addition, they aren't necessarily in the correct order.

Chevycobb 06-28-2010 06:02 PM

BBC American is usually a season behind aren't they? Plus they are edited a good bit to fit commercials, and use different music.

HAZ-Matt 06-28-2010 09:57 PM

Yes, exactly. They need to make room for commercials and fix the issues with the music as they "borrow" it from all sorts of places. As far as the seasons, as they never aired together there is a lag between when they are shown in UK and here. However, some of the edited versions of older seasons appear in between the newer ones. The lag for the newer ones is something like 1 yr.

so ill have to watch it on you tube, until it comes out over here. i watched a little bit of the one about the continental supersport, yesterday. talk about a pig! those things are super heavy.

Darn Rob V beat me to making the thread. When I checked wiki last night and saw that, I was so excited.

JasonD 06-29-2010 07:26 PM

I am definitely interested in seeing what they have to say!

Chevycobb 06-29-2010 08:46 PM

I download the torrents as soon as they are available, so I am sure me ane many others will put that clip on the interwebs.

Geoff Chadwick 06-29-2010 09:54 PM

Hammond loves the original Charger. Hammond really liked the new Challenger. Hammond likes the Mustang. Despite his British origin, he is a muscle car loving bloke. He will probably enjoy the 5th gen and get the point of it all.

Sounds like it'll be a race to see who posts up the clip first! :cz28:
