I went ahead and ordered a 2008 C6.

Couldn't wait anymore. My current SS wasn't getting any younger and more two years is just too long....

I'm still going to follow the new camaro through the development stages of it, and i'm really looking forward to when it finally hits dealers. It's going to be a great car for sure.

I think you'll be alright, lol. What options? I'd be happy with a Z51 M6 AO Coupe. Although, that new blue is stunning in person.

i actually did the same thing. i ordered a 2008 3LT NO NAV, Dark Grey Split Spoke wheels, silver, titanium interior, A6, dual-mode exhaust, Z51. its going to be a daily driver, or it would have been an M6. i still can't wait for the camaro though, and at least GM still got my money

Congrats nice car. I don't think you missed anything with a C6.

Well, at least you guys didn't "settle" for something LESS THAN the Camaro . A buddy of mine (not mentioning names) buckled and just picked up a (gosh, I can't even say it ) *cough, cough* Mustang GT!

But if someone is in the market for a car TODAY, not ~18 months from now (heck, I've managed to go through ~3 different cars all within 18 month periods of time ) then the Camaro just ISN'T an option, unfortunately. I know it's just beating a dead horse silly to say, but it's too bad GM couldn't have gotten this car out to the market sooner . I REALLY hoped they were striving for a 40th-Anniversary ... apparently I was wrong .

We feel the love with the C6, but if it had been a Rustang We would have to shun you from the family.

Congrats!!!!!!!

LOL I'm patient enough to wait 14.5 (approx) more months. It's not that far really.

I'm almost about at this point myself. I keep telling myself to keep holding out and hoping it will be everything I want but I need speed now not 2 years from now, I'm driving a slow Dodge truck right now and it's killing me. I was holding out for the top dog 500+hp but weighing around 3800lb's it still won't touch an 08 Vette. Unless I see something confirmed spec wise in the next few months I'm done waiting.

Glad I'm not the only "greedy" and impatient one around here!

I'd be looking at a Corvette but the trouble is that they're priced around 80-90K in Canada, despite the dollar being at parity... No way on earth I'm paying that much more. I'm just hoping the prices level out, seeing as now the Canadian dollar is worth $1.04 for every $1 US dollar.

Im in the same boat but im looking down lol im thinking about getting 08sport or 08 SS/TC cobalt i need something for gas and the prices aint going down especially for the Silverado. Im frankly tired of waiting on the Camaro and yes i know they have to get everything right but it will probaly been 2010.5 before i could get one anyway with the price gouging that it is going to be.
