when you buy the camaro what are gonna be the first mods you make.
i already got a few grand save for mods and down payment so im set.

Mods:

but eventually when i get more money saved heads and twin turbos:D

Having no idea what engines come with it and what the trim levels are, I can't see how anyone can predict what their first mods may be.

If they are available thats my plan plus a 4k stall converter. Again if avaiable.

Hmm... I think I may Wait a couple months, or try to, before I mod it.. I'd like to get used to the power first..

But as far as plans, the basics first... Intake, some Exh Work, Snoop for free mods, Tint the Windows.. Maybe a tune if GM doesn't lock the computer.

We'll see how the aftermarket progresses with suspension/trans stuff.. I'd like a shifter, but the one on my 4th gen is still stock and I have NO problems with it at all.. It was the T56 that was the POS.. T56 Rebuilds.com FTFW!!! NICE and tight now! :D

Yup! I've done a whole whack of stuff to my '98 and after having gone through those experiences (... and all my mods were very successful) I'm really hoping that there will be at least 1 choice for me in this car's engine line-up that will satisfy my need for power to the point where I won't feel the need to tack on even more HP... and if by some chance I still do feel that need, then perhaps GM just might have a couple of tricks up its sleeve from GMPP for this car and I might not even have to compromise my 5 yr. 160,000 km. warranty!

Best regardSS,

Elie

First thing will be wheels, springs, intake and exhaust. all within the first 4 months. within the first year ill add a TB, brakes, poly bushings, a cam and a tune. After that I've gone as far as ill go with it. Im keeping it as a daily driver and I wouldnt want my DD to have more HP that my "fun" car :)

Ain't tellin'.

Seeing as how air inlets and exhausts lately see you spending major money for 5 hp(factory parts are flowing pretty good)...I'll be looking into programmers first.

That depends what motor it comes with for under 40k.

LS7 or LSA - I'll leave it stock
LS3 - Tune, cai and exhaust
L67 - Same mods + a cam
5.3 - I'm swapping it for one of the above.

Pulley, tune, and drag slicks. Then I'll go to town removing all the useless crap (HUD, NAV, etc.)

2000GTP 01-29-2008 09:01 AM

If I bought one, I would probably wait until the car was paid off and the warranty was over or close to being over. After that, intake and exhaust improvements would be first on the list.

nexus6 01-29-2008 09:32 AM

the only thing im gonna change is the exhaust and the wheels.430 HP is just fine for me.MAYBE some trim ,but ide have to wait to see whats out.like a nice wing (nothing rice) like if they have something thats a little bit taller than stock.

POWERFREAK 01-29-2008 09:40 AM

Hopefully it wont take too long for the aftermarket to catch up. I could see doing headers (if it's not too much of a PIA) and exhaust...and a dyno tune. Once I get board with it (hopefully it will be a while), I could see doing more.

I know that manufacturers and shops are trying to hit the ground running right now.
