How big is the camaro concept compared to the 4th gen?
It looks big to me in the pictures but in the video posted earlier, they said it is compact.

Well it is said it is smaller than the Stang but it is wide but they say in production it may not be as wide over all I think it is smaller

Sorry no EXACT dimensions but this should give youa good idea.
Width is and wheelbase are the biggest differences. Width = 79" (thats at least 5", maybe 7" wider then 4th. Its also within 3" of an H3 andfar wider then most cars on the road. I hope the production car isn't this wide, I mean whats it good for?) Wheelbase is 110" Height--I think its taller--cars are always getting taller. Length, is shorter 188" |

There are exact dimensions. I posted them along with comparisons to the 4th gen a while back. I'll see if I can dig that up. If I remember right, it's bigger than the 4th gen in every dimension except length.

I have a feeling the width will probably be toned down alittle for the production. No proof, just a feeling...

well, if you want to be a little less technical about it, there's a good couple of photos of the 5th and 1st gen camaros side by side. so go compare your 4th gen camaro to a 69 camaro and then go from there.

Glad to hear that width was a misprint, but still 77" is pretty darn wide.
It's about 3" wider than my '02, and 3" wider than my "big" Thunderbird. :( |

What worries me is the height of the hoodline and the tops of the doors/bottom of the greenhouse. Looks WAY high relative to 4th gen. Wish we could leave the high hood- and belt-lines to Ford and Daimler-Chrysler...

Here's a comparison between my 1997 Z28 and the concept
1997 length is 4907mm compared to 4730mm 1997 width is 1882mm compared to 2022mm 1997 height is 1321mm compared to 1344mm Essentially, the concept is around 6 inches shorter than a 4th gen, roughly 6 inches wider and the height is hardly a change at all. |

With the width you can't just worry about weight... You have to worry if it will fit in a parking space and be able to open the doors.
