Used 2010 Prices CRAZY??
Am I nuts? I ordered a 2010 and it came in last fall, things came up couldent buy but I vaguely remember the GMS (Grandfather retired GM) price was about $31,500ish +tax/title ect (1SS/RS no other options)
Now we paid off the wifes car, the 08 Silverado z28 is down to $13,000 owed so i am looking
I figured I could find what I ordered for around mid to lower $20,000 and they are going for $31-35,000 on ebay, local on craigslist (Detroits economy?!) I mean man great for resale but damn no way I will buy a used likely beat SS for what I could have bought new and had about a year now........
Am I crazy?

Not really sure but I havent seen ONE car after autotrader.com, Craigslist OR ebay at a reasonable price, especially at dealers mostly seem to be HIGH 30's. (all cars bidded up to the mid $20,000 range DONT meet the reserve so NO sale......)

The same thing is happening here in northern California. Used 2010s are going for close to MSRP. I attribute it to the fact that there still aren't many on the roads and the dealers are being greedy.

I've noticed this trend in the southeast. I was looking at a black 2SS the other day just for the hell of it, 6spd 16k miles and they wanted 37k and another dealer was selling a yellow LT for 29k and another SS for 35k, it's all about supply and demand right now so it might be a couple of years before prices really drop. On another note, i've noticed 4th gen prices slowly creeping back up

Its a bummer..... I have a perfect garage, the money (without getting ripped off) and the desire but no camaro for meeeeee.
What is the deal with GMS now, my grandfather is retired GM and said he got a letter saying that GMS is reinstated for employees, Children and grand children is it the same as the old days?

Since I heard it discussed in the podcast - I'll add a comment....
SOME dealers are still getting big $ for these cars new, making used cars pricey.
One thing - I heard Chevy is getting away from the cash incentives...why? It ruins the resale value, and decreases residual values for leases. Keep in mind a while back, a top 10 list of cars with the best resale value only had ONE US car on it, near the bottom of the list - THE CORVETTE. Keep in mind I saw this list BEFORE the Camaro went into production.
The question I hear most is, is "when is chevy going to have some rebates on Camaro?" - the best answer is, they don't plan to! What was the incentive on the left over 2010's? $1500 in GM accessories! You might see this more often in the future, on more vehicles than Camaro.
Ultimately, I think if used Camaro's are expensive, that's a GOOD thing - it means they are holding value. And maybe the Camaro will make and stay on the top 10 resale list!

Re: Used 2010 Prices CRAZY??
I noticed that around here also. Used 2010's in the mid 30's. There were only to v8's in Cheyenne today that weren't verts. A 2010 SS with 20k miles for 34k and a 2012 SS with 50 miles for 33k....guess which one I bought. Granted the 2012 that I got is pretty plain and the 2010 had quite a few options, but the only other option I would have liked to have had was the gauges in the center console.
