With the piston slapp issues the LS* engines already have a reputation for, I don't see a chance of this being done by GM.....too bad though...

My semi-regular reminder for the New GM to put appropriate hardware inside a supercharged motor, and not do the typically (and epically) bone-headed thing that the old GM would have done (and did...) by putting in cheapie hyper-u-explode-its and marginal rods and rod bolts in a forced induction motor.

Does the LS9 have an unacceptable level of piston slap?

Nope.

Trust me...

If left to their own devices, it'll get crappy slugs just like the CTS-V has.

And, as per usual, some committee will have come to that decision with the idea that it is perfectly reasonable!

Oh... here's a great article on Buell...

http://www.froggypwns.com/buellpdfs/...racuda%202.pdf

My first thought while reading it was:
Ohmygosh... H-D thinks just like GM!!!

Oh... another note...

Piston slap and oil consumption? Now... this isn't conclusive... but I know GM built about a gajillion engines that ended up in 2001's with bores that were too big.
