DC Auto Show

Any way to know ahead of time which Camaro(s) are scheduled to be at this show and whether there would be any that can be opened and sat in? Thanks!

Well I am extreamly disappointed. There is a silver SS and an imperial blue v6 RS. Both are preproduction cars that are roped off so you can not get with in 10 feet of them and they will not even open the door because they are not production cars. The people they rotated in to answer questions about the car knew very little and could barely answer the starting price. The car seems much bigger than I thought and I saw the concept two years ago.

The Mustang display embarrasses the Camaro not to mention you can actually stand next to their 2010 car.

I was hoping to run to the dealer after sitting in the car and put my order in, but I left the show almost feeling I had wasted my time. I took a day off work for this...it's very frustrating. Chevy is making it very hard for me to want to order...I would have thought the DC area would be a big enough market to get a production car...guess not...

Thanks for the update. You saved me a trip to DC this weekend.

If DC wasn't worthy of a Production model, then I'm sure Richmond will not see one either, and they are only scheduled to have 1 Camaro. Damn.

I was thinking I have to go to Richmond now. I'm hoping a production model will be free that weekend for the show or with production only a couple days away at that point maybe there will be more production cars for one to be there. I don't understand why Philly got a car to sit in and DC didn't

I am going to the Raleigh show next weekend over at the NC State Farigrounds. Listed is 1 Camaro going to be there. I am hoping that it is a production car, but I am not getting my hopes up!

That wierd you think GM would just take the same cars to differnent shows, and the Det Show. You could sit in a orange w/ black strips SS. And they had the concept "Black" on display

Unfortunately there are multiple auto shows across the country at one time, so they have to spread out a bunch of Camaros at all of the shows.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed as well. Silver and Blue one as other poster stated. Girl there couldn't even say which one was V6 or V8. Did not provide much info, even though I approached and started to ask some questions. Not even up on a platform or anything.

DC area has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country (~4%), you think they would take that into consideration. No Stingray, no 'Bumblebee 2,' and roped off so you can't even see inside. The 2010 mustang crew outdid them by a mile, and the 2010 Shelby was rockin, and you could touch it and look inside (couldn't sit though). Gave out 2010 Mustang 'hot wheels' for the kids.

GM did a poor job on this show.

My son and I had not gotten the word. He came home from school for a trip to DC to SIT IN a new Camaro. We were sorely pissed at the lame Camaro presentation.

The G8 show saved the day. They had about 8 of them -- free for the sitting. The white ones with the red accent interior were pretty cool.

glad I'm not the only one that thinks GM dropped the ball on that show big time. to be honest it all puts a bad taste in my mouth for the car now. on the plus side if i don't get the camaro a c6 is a real possibility for me.

I definitely left the show hall with a grumpy attitude towards Chevy. I'll probably get over it, but not soon enough to be inclined to rush out an order a new Camaro. It will be MUCH easier for me to hold off until the mad rush cools. I'll save thousands

Don't recall if I posted this, but the nimnal inside the Camaro corral said "we're just teasing you" about leaving the cars locked. That was when I really got pissed.
