i think thats the red jewel tint coat.
oh man. i was just thinking about this the other day. i was wondering who would be the first to crash a new camaro. hopefully its not someones actualy car. lets hope its just the fleet car.

 

at least now, some lucky body shop can learn how to repair them

 

I wonder how long it will take a body shop to find replacement parts. If its a CTF car, what is the likelihood of it being crushed as is?

 

Heck, they might as well "finish the job" and use it for crash testing the BACK end of the car!

That ain't Red Jewel Tint-coat?! Or it's a crazy PURPLE version of it?! I saw one in person, and it's a very nice, deep reddish-maroon colour ... very nice . The smashed car in the pic above looks purple!

 

I did feel a tear build up in my eye once I saw that picture. Yes that is the Jewel tint cost, looks like it was just caught in some bad lighting (ie a over passing cloud). funny thing is I too was just thinking about when we would see a picture like this. :-(

 

It looks brownish under the lights, purple outside.

 

yeah it is. its just darker looking on the sides because of the shade. there are no other colors that resemble that.

 

Definately makes you want to cry. I'd hate to be him, but I feel for him. UGH!!!!!

 

this is the one that chris and jason talked about on the webcast a few weeks back,a guy left them a voicemail wanting to sell the pictures...they made fun of they guy and whoever decided to pay for the pics, saw them posted on Jalopnik a few days later...thought it too depressing to post the link
