Re: Concept Camaro Article

That guy has no idea what he's talking about... other than GM making the 5th gen an overall better package almost every comment he made was wrong or false.

Re: Concept Camaro Article

Some good points.....but he couldn't be more off base about the target about the Camaro's target market....and the need for IRS, etc....

He's talking about the Cobalt buyer......

Where do they find these knuckleheads?

Re: Concept Camaro Article

I don't think I need to tell you all that I am a die-hard Camaro supporter, so in light of that...don't take the following the wrong way...

A lot of what was not opinion was in the realm of being factual, if not dead on in some cases. The problem is, it was presented in a nearly hatefull manner. That article could have been written stating the same things with with less of a negative tone and it would have been much easier to swallow.

The only thing that pissed me off about this article, is the tone of what was already mentioned in one of the longest threads on this board: "What kind of image does the Camaro Portray ?".

Other than that, he was pretty much right on target.

I find that at times, I can take it too "personal" when someone puts down the Camaro - its as if they are putting me down. I don't wear a mullet, nor have I ever had a mullet. I don't know why I get offended when someone makes fun of a Camaro. But I do sometimes.

I'd also be willing to bet there are many others on this board, that feel personally offended when the Camaro is slighted. Why do we like this car so much? (rhetorical)

I guess that's what makes me such a Camaro fan.

Re: Concept Camaro Article

the article never really pissed me off, he didn't even mention anything about the 5th gen concept that is out now and it was pretty much just opinions instead of facts, i wouldn't take it too much to heart (some of his opinions i partially agree with and some i thought weren't well thought out or i just felt differently)

my feel after reading it was that he probably wasn't a GM fan in the first place

Re: Concept Camaro Article

I think he was mostly dead on. I didn't read it as a mean spirited article at all. I am surprised he didn't comment on the concept though.

Re: Concept Camaro Article

The only thing that offended me in that story is the author's belief that Camaro should start at $16,000 in order to 'make a dent' in Scion and Civic. The rest is pretty much true.

Re: Concept Camaro Article

Sorry guys, other than saying to not put an IRS in it, and that the base should start at 16k, I thought he was pretty dead on (though I admit to being partial to the hood scoop).
