How about this: 2 cars are stopped at a stoplight, a mustang and a challenger. The mustang and challenger are being driven by your average race-hungry guys and are apparantly about to race once the light changes. A camaro pulls up driven by a guy with his wife in the passenger seat and 2 little kids in the back. The little kids wave at the guy in the mustang next to them and he just smiles, laughs, and shakes his head. The wife gives a nod with a slight smirk to her husband. The light changes.... and the camaro soundly defeats the competition, with the kids giving little cheers in the backseat.

Just a thought of course. I realize it could be a little too close to the magnum (hearse) commercials, but oh well. I kinda like it.

 

i cant see a comercial where racing with kids will be promoted

 

good point. kinda thought of that and put it at a stoplight and not the open highway. good point though.

 

Can't help it - I needed the laugh. Well, at the idea of course - not the Camaro or Hasselhoff.

He takes a bite out of that big burrito supreme and a chunk of beef, lettuce, cheese and sour cream plops right out of the end of the burrito and onto the front passenger seat and tranny shifter.

Okay, I'll stop now....actually...right now.

 

Well, I was actually thinking of a series of commercials, where they do the same thing with the whole list of 2 door coupes. but change it to be more accurate where as the Z28 will get better mpgs than some, etc, I'd also have a different family / people in every commercial.

Some I'd do like a teen looking at the camaro and the dad looking at the Scion Tc, then the teen and dad driving off in new Camaros.

I'd do it as an all out war on the 2 door segment. So the Corolla was a bad car to use, but I would include it and some other 4 door econo boxes and midsize sedans, as long as they make the Camaro they can make.

If they can improve any of their V6's to carry the same technology as their LS2s or the LS6s, then MPGs will be through the roof, and it will be game on. How about a 260 hp 40 mpg base coupe? Who said economy cars had to be boring?
