Question Can't tell if this is a positive review or not: LA Times - "Subtle it's not"

I dunno...innacruate in some places, biting in others, but somehow an interesting read nonetheless...

Very entertaining, especially the last line. That's a must read.

I am REALLY getting tired of the social stereotyping associated with this car and the people who drive it. They have no clue!

It's a typical scathing West Coast style car review with a little too much thesaurus thrown in. I think the writer feels let down that it's not a sophisticated, refined sports car. In fewer words, I think he alludes to the fact that it's a heavy, cheap "simple pleasures" car--that goes really fast. The final blow was that he feels its a misled attempt at capturing positive attention for the company, and that GM is finally going to knock its own front teeth out with this car.

I def definitely wouldn't be putting this in the positive review section.

Ugh! Sounds like the typical attitude of someone who still thinks that they make IROCs, that V8s only get 9MPG, and that anything imported is automatically better than domestic.

I'm just about given up on any major CA publication writing a thoroughly positive article about this car. I think this author may actually like much of the 2010 Camaro but he can't see it for anything other than a tire shredding tree killing monster. And that's what his audience will like to hear as well. The car never had a chance wearing a bowtie in the grille and CAMARO on the fender.

LOL, I personally thought it was a funny and mostly accurate review. Nowhere did he say he didn't like it, nowhere did slam it as a poorly built car. And, let's face, most stereotypes have a basis in fact. He even alludes to that fact by revealing he is from NC.

Whoa.... whats with all the negativity on this thread. This review just added statistics (that all us junkies already know), with some sterotypes. I think this review was rather positive. It made fun of what "normal people" may think of the camaro, but added the facts to let people decide for themselfs.

Los Angeles is Southern California. Which is practically a different state than Northern California

NorCal - Prius
SoCal - Lease of the day -- C230, 370z/G37, A4, HummScalade.

I enjoyed the review for the humor. I'll reserve my judgement until I see it in person.

I actually think the article spells out what this car is and for whom it was designed. It was not designed for the wine and cheese set, but for the rest of us who enjoy beer, chips and the NFL.

I found his tongue in cheek review very funny and a good advertisement for the best idea GM has had in about 40 years.

The stereotyping is unbelieveable. Sending that fool an e-mail.
