Canada's Worst Driver 6 featuring Synergy Green Camaro

The show "Canada's Worst Driver" season 6 premieres on Monday Oct 25th. Previews for the show display a poor unfortunate Synergy Green Camaro being wrecked by lunatic drivers.

As much as I don't want to see a beautiful car mangled, I can't help but be intrigued... I want to find out where these folks live so I can avoid those cities like the plague.

My gosh! Poor camaro. :(

I watch the show for comic relief... and then realize every season there's a few people from BC there.

Sucks they're going to wreck a perfectly good Camaro. Usually they only ruin older vehicles.

Looks like there's also a '70-'72 Monte Carlo in there.
I'll have to tell my buddy to watch. He had one years ago.

Do the owners bring their own cars to bash up?

What the premise of the show is, is that people nominate someone to be on the show. They gather up about 10 nominees and take them to a camp somewhere. Their drivers licenses are confiscated and then they are educated in cars owned by the TV show. The show goes through an elimination system, like Hells Kitchen or Survivor, with the most improved drivers leaving, getting their licenses back. The worst loses their license.

They get them driving all sorts of vehicles. Tiny coupes, big huge boats, RV's, you name it. All for the sake of teaching them how to become safe drivers and break their bad habits.

BTW...we talked about this in CamaroZ28.Com Podcast #268. Have a listen.

Set to record on my PVR. I know of a couple streaming video sites for it, but I'm positive that the internet content blocking in place preventing me from viewing content originating in the United States blocks you from seeing it if it originates anywhere else. At any rate, I'll see what I can pull up for you guys.

Watching it as we speak. I want to cry a little... the poor car is trashed in the first episode!

Pleased to see there aren't any BCer's this season though!!

Jason Dove 10-25-2010 10:04 PM

That was horrific...

Update on the show, still can't find a link that can be viewed in the United States. As for the car, there was such 'outcry' about wrecking classic cars that they spent their entire car budget on the new Camaro.

Car is a Synergy Green edition V6, with the green interior and cyber grey stripes. Assuming it's a 1LT. It had all of 26 km on the odometer at the start of the series. They said the plan was to sell the car at the end of the series. Funny that they put the biker guy in first. Oh, and one tool did the slalom test with the e-brake locked the entire time at 50km/h...

Did they trash the older ('70-'72) Monte Carlo?

2010_5thgen 10-26-2010 08:01 AM

oh my god....keep them in canada. i cant believe some people are allowed to drive on the roads.

JasonD 10-26-2010 08:19 AM

Someone needs to put up a link.

Not yet.

The host said the Camaro was planned to be used in every episode of the series... I'm not sure if it's going to make it to the end.
