I don't know how accurate this is, but it has the countdown to the camaro prodution start date? This can't be right... that puts production starting the end of sept/early oct. I thought production was starting in Nov? Can anyone confirm this... *cough cough*

I agree. They're showing a release date of Jan 09, I don't think that's right either. It was put up by another camaro forum....

 

release date should be Feb of 09 as a 10 model.

 

I don't know what is right, and won't pretend to. However, the page says "Chevrolet Camaro Coupe. Coming January 2009." The countdown is currently on 306 days & 12 hours - which would be 01 October 2008.

That's the beginning of the Gov't Fiscal year, but GM isn't the Gov't.

 

I think they are guessing that the first Camaros will roll off the line in October and be in dealerships in January 2009? I dunno.

 

 

The other thing is thats when they start producing them, they did say last quarter of 08 is when they start & first quarter of 09 is when they will be released, unless things got moved up.

 

I know the owner of that site, I would pretty much bank on it. I'll put it this way, he knows a lot of things most people shouldn't know. If he comes on here and sees this, maybe he can tell the story of the lock box. Or..... maybe Scott can tell it.

 

Maybe you could prompt him to enter this forum or just ask him and let us know.

 

oh he's already on this forum.. i know him as well.. thats the countdown to production...

i dont know how much of it is based on fact or inside information.. i think it's an optimistic estimate.. but it is certainly close.. within 1 month

as i said, it's probably a bit optimistic, but close enough.. we'll find out how close when GM announces the actual production start
