And got hit today while parked in a parking lot.



I need a list of requests for the body shop, so I know this is as-good or better than factory. I don't know what to ask for when I go in for a quote.

Basically, the rear bumper is scraped up on the drivers side. There is some extremely minor damage just above the side marker on the drivers side quarter panel. Images here:

Ouch, ouch, ouch. Sorry to see that buddy. How did it happen?

Ask your body shop if they can and will make it "as good as or better than new". If they say "we can come close" or anything other than "absolutely", walk away. If they say "absolutely", ask to see some of their work. Good body shops keep photo albums of their work and may even let you take a tour of their facility.

There is no shame for wanting it right and if that is what you pay for, that is what you should get.

My body shop is awesome and would make it perfect...but kind of a hike for you.

Someone was parking in my work lot illegally (well no parking pass), and parked beside me. I park in the middle of nowhere, obviously for a reason. I didn't see what happened (no one I know did), but when she backed out to leave at some point during the day, she hit her front drivers against my rear drivers side. (After that she decided to park on the other side of the building, I suppose hoping that no one would remember what kind of car was beside mine.)

No note, nothing. I found broken glass on the ground beside my car. Picked it up, walked around the lot and found the car it matched up with.

As I was on the phone with the cops, she came out and handed me her information. Saying that she 'intended' to put it on my car etc.

After the repair shop pulled the bumper cover off, the quarter panel under it was dented etc. When I spoke with them yesterday, they said they're going to repaint the entire quarter panel (from the A-Pillar back to the bumper).

Seems like they're covering everything. The car is going to be ready on Thursday, so we'll see how it turns out.

anything above the marker may be able to be buffed out. they will more than likely repaint the whole rear bumper cover. dont have them spot paint it. it wont look right.
