Here is my crazy issue. I am getting an IBM 2SS with white stripes. I generally want the RS package for the HID headlights but I don't care for the red emblems especially with a blue car with white stripes. I was wondering if anyone has swapped to white SS emblems and if so please tell us how much it cost and how difficult it was to do. I think I am going this route.

I would think that the little splash of red on the front would look great with a blue/white car. Kind of like on the VW GTI, with it's little red strip across the front.

I have seen it both ways, just like the emblems white instead of red. Personal taste, generally VW does not set my styling preferences.

Eh, I think the GTI is great looking...very understated and clean.

But really, the little splash of red on a white and blue car, I think, would look great.

Nah, if they're stuck on, a little dental floss and a hair dryer will do the trick. New emblems will probably be $200 though knowing GM .

I actually have a 2SS/RS ordered in voctory red, and the red emblems definitely look lost on a red car. I also plan on switching to white emblems. I found the emblems on ebay. Serach for Impala, Trailblazer, Cobalt SS emblems etc. You can find a set of 4 for around $40.(you can use the extra 2 under the Camaro emblem on the front fenders like how the old SS cars were.

I personally like the white better. Here is a little knowledge for you also. If you get the white ones, you can take the white decal off and it is black underneath. I learned this doing a custom engine cover for a customer.
