Re: Torque Thrust II wheels???'s

Hi,Summit Racing said they can order these wheels for me, so will the 18x9.5 with the 6.5 backspacing work on my 2001 Camaro Z28 in the rear with a 275-35-18 tire with no problems?THANKS

Re: Torque Thrust II wheels???'s

A 9.5" wide wheel with a 6.5" backspace corresponds to a 32mm offset. That is going to put the outside edge of the wheel/tire just barely under the edge of the rear fender, and probably outside the front fender. For a 9.5" wide wheel, you want an offset in the range of 45 - 56mm (7.0" - 7.5").

Re: Torque Thrust II wheels???'s

Yes. I have run 17 x 9.5" 49mm offset, and 17 x 9.5" 56mm offset with no problems at all. Tire size was 275/40-17.

The front wheel (only) in this pic is the 17 x 9.5 56mm wheel:

All 4 wheels in this pic are 17 x 9.5 49mm:

Re: Torque Thrust II wheels???'s

The 17 x 11.0's work best with 50mm offset. If you run Torque Thrusts, their 45mm offset will work in the back as well, just moves the wheel/tire 1/4" toward the outside edge of the fender. There's a writeup in the FAQ that covers wheel width vs. offset.
