New Tires for either: 16 or 17 inch stock wheels
I'm at a loss. Michelin quit making Tires in stock camaro size. I don't know what to buy now? I have stock 10 spoke 16 inch rims and SS 17 inch rims both needing tires and no Michelin's to buy
I use my camaro as a DD in the winter in Missouri but drive a truck when there is deep snow. seriously I don't want Kuhmo crap.
Costco wont sell me any tires
Sams Club only has BFGoodrich Gsport Super-sport A/S. ???
Tire Racks only other option for All-Season is Firestone Oval A/S but only in the 16 size...
Is there seriously only 2 options now? and which is better?

In the 275/40-17 size, Tire Rack lists several "ultra high performance all season" tires, beside the BFG and the Kumho.
What was stock on the 97 - 235/55-16 or 245/50-16? In the 245/50-16, Tire Rack lists six "high performance..." and "ultra high performance all season" tires.

Thanks Injuneer. Stock is 245/50r16 and the ss 17 wheels are 275/40R17 as you have already mentioned.
Can you recommend a tire to use in either size? in the past Sumitomo & Hancook have been sold as bargain tire alternatives to the top tier brands.....

On the Tire Rack website, look at the survey data. Pick a tire, click on "survey". You get the results for that tire. But it should also have a link that allows you to compare to all tires in the same category. Covers dry traction, wet traction, snow, cornering, braking, wear, noise, etc.

I had a set of the Firestone Wide Ovals on my 16" 98TA for a while. There were fine but were a bit too hard for me. I took them off and got a very-difficult-to-find set of Michelin Pilot Sports which were much smoother riding.
