Talking New 18 inch corvette rep. rims, What do you think?

I just recieved my new corvette replica rims and tires today!
Just want to see what everyone thinks about them.
Haven't installed them on my 95 camaro yet.
Want to hear all opinions!

Re: New 18 inch corvette rep. rims, What do you think?

Is it me or are they narrow?

What size? I run 245/40/18s in the front and they much wider than those?

Maybe it's me or the camera angle?

Yes they do look kind of skinny in those pics but they are in fact 245/40/18 also! I bought them from Performanceplustire.com for about $1200 and they got in touch with me and made sure that the setup would be a perfect fit for my car. They were really helpful.
But I took some extra pics to show so!

Re: New 18 inch corvette rep. rims, What do you think?

245s were skinny stock width back in the day. Especially for aftermarket. 275 width minimum for aftermarket wheels and tires. I think my 315s look skinny, but your pizza cutters make them look massive again.

I'd sell them and get something meatier. You'll be happier in the long run. But if you're happy with them, that's all that matters.

What width are the wheels? What color is your car?

Yes i thought they were very skinny because i had done 295s on the rear before these and they were pretty wide. But i just didn'twant to have any type of scrubbing prob at all and like to be able to rotate my tires unlike with staggered. I've had my share of scrubbing in the past but I'm still going to get me some rear spacers to give i little wider stance in the rear.

And my car used to be white but i just repainted it.

Well ..... since you asked: I actually like the wheels, but as previously mentioned, the rear tires are too narrow. Kind-of defeats the purpose of have American Muscle if your tires are the same width as ones on a slammed Honda Civic :-) I understand your reasoning for wanting to rotate your tires, but that's just the price you pay for looking *aggressive*. I doubt spacers will fool anyone. It would just look like skinny wheels with a different offset. Your Opinion Is Really The ONLY ONE That Matters, so if you like ..... I love it.

You never said what the wheel width is? In some of the pictures it looks like the tires are too narrow for the wheels, others they loo OK. You can put 275's on all 4 corners with the correct wheel offset, not have any rubbing, and rotate the wheels/tires.

They screwed ya and obviously wanted to sell you something. Can't be any wider than a 9" rim....too narrow. Pics on and of the car didn't help. Yikes....
