C5 Rims

Will I need to modify my 1996 Z28 for C5 rims. The rims I'm looking at are 17x8.5 and 18x9.5.

No, they should bolt right on.

What is the maxium width tire I can put on the rear? Again the rims are 18x 9.5!

Follow the link. I just put c5's on my 1997. They fit fine & bolt right on. Oh wait...um I forget what size tire I did, but just look at the stickies at the top of the section. There is a list of tires & rims that will match up (sizewise). I went with the biggest tires that will fit on c5 rears & they fit fine.
