35th Anniv. 10-spokes???
I have a '96 Z/28 with a set of OEM silver SS 10-spoke wheels, I would like to either have powder coated to look like the 35th Anniversary Black/silver wheels or buy some if I can luck into a set. My question is, are the flats on the spokes, polished aluminum or painted silver? I haven't seen a set of these wheels in person, but want to do the conversion right, if I'm going to do it. I'm sure I could always tape it off and spray paint the wheels, black where they need to be, but don't want to tackle a polish job of the flats of the spoke/perimeter of the rim face. I'm sure powder coat would look better, than anything I can paint, and will pay to have them done correctly. Does anyone know if this has been done to a set of OEM GM 10-spokes.... or know of a CLEAN set of 35th Anniv. wheels for sale anywhere?

You might want to check see if a wheel refinisher can take a set of painted ten spokes and refinish them as a 35th Ann wheel. Other than the black powder coat and machined faces, the wheels should be the same.

I've about given up finding a nice set for sale. I have the standard silver 10-spokes on my car now, and will probably see how much it costs to have the machined faces done, and powder coating. I guess I can have the center caps painted black to match. It's not my daily driver, so it should be a good winter project.
