2010 Grand Sport replica wheels-95 Z28

I found a nice set of Grand sport wheels and tires on craigslsit, but I'm just waiting for the right price. I've watched them drop from $1200, and I'm waiting to see if he drops any farther. The owner had them on a 1995 Corvette. Would they fit on my 1995 Z28? They're 275's all around.

Here is the link to the Craigslist ad: corvette, chrome wheels for 88 to 96 corvette. chrome new tires.

You need to find out the offset of the wheels to know the correct answer. Since they are replicas, there is no way to know, as there would be if they were OEM GM. The bolt circle is fine.... most 9.5" wide wheels in the range of 45-56mm offset will work with no problems.

The 275/35-18 tires are slightly smaller than the stock 4th Gen tires... not even 0.10" smaller if your car has the Z-rated 245/50-16's (25.7" diameter), and about 0.50" smaller if you have the base 235/55-16 tires (26.1"). The sticker on the door will tell you which tires the car has on it when it left the factory, and your PCM will be programmed for that diameter tire.

Yes I have the Z rated tires from the factory. So those wheels or similar shouldn't need PCM tuning, correct?

The error will be negligible, theoretically about 0.14 MPH faster than actual speed at 60 MPH. Probably more variation than that just based on variable inflation pressure.

That's good to know at least! I don't think I'm going to jump on those wheels though. He hasn't budged on price, and I'd rather find some actual GM ZR1 style wheels if I can. Hopefully some day I'll stumble upon some in great shape for a decent price. Thanks for the info also.

Re: 2010 Grand Sport replica wheels-95 Z28

The "GM" ZR1 wheels have the wrong offset. The 17x9.5's have a 38mm offset. The GM (1996) Grand Sport wheels have the correct offset (56mm) for the 4th Gen F-Body. But real Grand Sport wheels were painted black. I have the AFS Grand sport replicas in polished aluminum, and the quality is excellent.

The info on the AFS website however, is incorrect. They indicate the 38mm offset will fit the 4th Gen F-Body Firebirds, but not Camaro. Even on a Firebird they will stick out almost 1" more than the front wheels on my Formula. AFS also indicates that 17" wheels will not fit on a 4th Gen convertible, and that info is incorrect also.

Only the fronts are 17x9.5" 56mm in these photos. Rears are 17x11.0 50mm:

Ok, I found the set you were talking about on their site. They say out of stock, but I'm guessing they still make them by order. Would they be better quality then O.E Wheels' ZR1's? Also, I read that some modification is needed to fit an 11" wheel on a 4th gen Camaro, but 9.5's in the front should be fine.

I have never owned an OE wheel, so I have no idea how they compare. There is info in the sticky threads on the modifications you may have to make to fit the 11" wide wheels in the back.
