Texas Trans Corridor

Have you guys heard of this?

http://www.corridorwatch.org/ttc/index.htm

*link fixed*

I just heard about it on the newstalk radio yesterday. In addition to taking land to build these things, the gov't is selling our roads to foreign countries where they can make us pay tolls to drive on their roads. Just trying to spread the word here.

Re: Texas Trans Corridor

Indiana just sold their toll road to a foreign owned company. It's much better for the state that way. They get billions of instant cash in order to do other thing with, and they don't have to worry about the maintence of the road any longer either. Actually I guess they just leased it...but it is a 75 year lease. I know the Chicago Skyway is also owned by a foreign company. Its actually pretty common these days.

Re: Texas Trans Corridor

Yes... I have been to a few planning sessions and open discussion meetings.

This is already a work in progess. Land is being purchased...especially in south Texas.

There is tons of politics involved in this highway and everything is far from resolved.

TxDot willhave little to do with it except initially planning and letting of the jobs and securing imminent domain of property.

After that, an investement company will handle construction and financing and maintenance of the road and we will all pay big tolls to use it.
