z28 a v6??

i just recently purchased a 1997 Chevrolet Camaro RS 3800 series 3.8L v6, auto trans. 30th anniversary. ive been trying to research the car because it has z28 badge on the sides. but i was told a v6 is not a z28. can anyone help me? do i have a rare car? my vin number is 2G1FP22K0V2131380

VIN number shows a 3.8, I'd say someone stuck z28 badges on a V6 car

yeah, the badges dont really belong on the car, there just for looks.

IMO i would remove the badges and leave the fenders w/o badges. Specially if you ever plan to show the car. Same would go for guys that have Z28's, and decided to put the SS hood and spoiler on, some turn around and put SS badges on the car.
