Sensors for O2 and air bags

Not sure where this goes--
i think i have to replace these sensors, but i am not sure. i have a 9/1999 Z28 (that has some 2000 parts) and the air bag light is on. i thought that meant the sensor was bad, but someone told me it comes on when someone sat on the seat...it was supposed to be on.

the service engine soon light is on and i was told it was probably the 02 sensor but i needed to find out how many my car had and buy that many to put in...how many does a Z28 have? He said some cars have 2 and some have 3.

Can someone help me out?

Re: Sensors for O2 and air bags

consult your manual about the airbag light, if it is on there is a problem. I thas nothing to do with someone sitting in the seat.

there are 3 O2 sensors, one on each exhaust manifold and 1 behind the Cat. converor. the 2 front are the same but the post -cat one is a different part.
