Re: preformance module

Total scam. It's not a "chip", it's a 10-cent resistor in a little plastic box. Will do nothing for your car. Look at the site. Every car, from a 3-cyl Geo to an 8-cyl Corvette has the same performance and gas mileage claim - up to +75 HP and up to +8 MPG.

Don't waste your money.

Re: preformance module

There is no benefit and they can claim all they want. Never heard anyone ever get any real results with one, but you will find thousands that didn't and will tell you to spend your money on something better. I got one real cheap years ago and removed after seeing no improvement.

Re: preformance module

Probably a good idea to post the question regarding HP improvements - mild to wild - on the "V6 Tech" forum.

I can move this thread there if you want.

Re: preformance module

yeah, those things are total scams, but you may be able to find a used programmer for cheap which actually works, like a hypertech or similar, infact I think that one of the best ways to improve power, you'll actually feel the difference, you can even program the car to run on higher octane and get even more power. otherwise if you feel like blowing money, improve your intake, do some maintenance stuff like replacing the catg will improve performance, or put money in your stereo.
