Ohio newbie, engine swap

Bought a 96 3.8L Camaro with a blown up motor, then we went out and bought a 94 3.4L Camaro for the engine. The problem is that we don't know exactly how to swap the 3.4 into the 96. Someone explain the easiest way that we can do this?

You'll probably need to invest into a manual.

Sell the 94 Camaro and get another 3.8 just like I said in your other topic on same problem. The 3.8 has a lot more usable horsepower and you'll save yourself a lot of headaches. You'll be dealing with the trying to get the harnesses figured out and trying to get the Anti-theft to work......Putting in the 3.4 would be a major headache and a step backwards. The front drive and rear drive 3800 are the same engine just change out your front brackets, intake, flywheel, exhaust manifolds, motor mounts, and the oil filter adapter on the oil pump. No matter if you find a front drive or rear drive 3800 you're going to want to replace the intake manifold gaskets before reinstalling anyways because it's a much easier job to do it out of the car and it's a common problem that needs to be done anyway. If you really want to do a swap how about finding yourself an L67 supercharged 3800? The supercharger needs to be modified, but it can be made to bolt in. I put one in my 87 Shelby Charger when I did a rear drive swap. I used the Camaro motor mounts and accessories. I did have to modify the power steering and make a bracket to move it off the engine block a little bit because the idler pulley bracket for the supercharger was in the way of the normal serpentine belt routing by just a bit. Go to my cardomain page and you can see how it looks. It was tight in the Charger and I know under the hood of a 4th gen Fbody would be the same as far as firewall clearance. See how I had to cut the supercharger housing off and had an elbow welded to it so it would not stick into the firewall? Then I made the tube with a plate to bolt the throttle body to it? Is the 98 Camaro a cable operated throttle or drive by wire? If it's a DBW(drive by wire) then it's easy to extend the wires to get it hooked up. Go here. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/333013...-dodge-charger Believe me, this would even be easier than what you're trying to do.
