Question New motor= New tranny?

I finally found the right LT1 to drop in my 96 Convertable, replacing the 3800. Does anyone know what automatic transmission is standard with the V6, and will it handle the LT1 power after I add a stroker kit, cam, and porting?

Re: New motor= New tranny?

Yeah thanks. My tranny guy says he can build the 4l60e to hold up. Guess I'll find out by next summer!
