Question 94 Camaro 3.4 cooling issue

My son has a 94 3.4 V6 Camaro. It's overheating because the coolant fan will not kick on when it's suppose to. I have tested the relay, fan and checked the fuse. All are good. The fan will kick on when you turn on the AC but will not kick on otherwise.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Does the fan kick on at 220 degrees with the A/C turned off?

No it doesn't. It won't turn on at all unless you have the A/C on.

I'm kind of leaning toward a bad coolant temp sensor.

I was thinking the same thing. Luckily, they are inexpensive and easy to change.
