2.8 bogs bad!

after driving 1200miles to IL, which i barley made it here... it bogs really really bad!! it takes for ever to get up to speed and seems like its gettting no gas or its missing... things i noticed is my exhust manifolds get really hot and if its at night they GLOW! and check engine is on... code 34... i replaced the relays and MAF sensor and didnt work... anyone have a idea on why it bogs down like that

My old 1988 w/the 2.8 was damn near undriveable if the throttle body got all gummed / varnished up. Try taking the intake off at the throttle body and spray "Throttle Body Cleaner" in and wipe it down. You must use throttle body cleaner not carb cleaner. Carb cleaner will strip the protective coating off.

If that don't work maybe try plugs and wires. Good luck.

Not sure what code 34 is? I would have to get back to you on that.
