WS6 LT1 vs. 500 S mustang (2008 ?)

I decided to drive the car today for the first time in months. Drove about 1 mile and immediatley attracted the attention of a black mustang (2008 ?) 500 S. Never seen one of these cars, but the driver was ready to break me off sumpin, sumpin I cracked the exhaust real quick to let him no I was game, and then it got real good with all the mental posturing between a Ford and a Pontiac It was almost comical the way he was looking at me like it was going to be a bad day for the LT1; although, I was not entirely sure what was under the hood of this newer Mustang ?

Start rolling my passenger window down and he tells me to count to three and hit it. Note to self " this guy is very sure about his new PONY " So, 1,2,3 BANG ! The LT1 decides it's time to get down to business, by the top of first (6,100) I already had him at my rear bumper. Cracked 2nd and started to literally pull a train, smashed third and just got out of it. It was a straight murda ! I slow down and the guy pulls up next to me and gives me the look like "what just happened" and then proceeded to give me the thumbs up. He said it was only mildly modified (which I believe) with Magn-flo side exit exhaust, cold air shaker kit and headers. He thought the car was making around 350 flywheel (I would agree with those mods). I responded with " You have a nice looking car " and gave him a thumbs up.

Drove home and looked up the 500S and found out that with his mods he was probably making in the 310 rwhp and 330 rwtq range. So, it looks like it a decent little package, but the pricing is a little excessive for all the upgrades he had on the car ( JMO ). Hope you enjoyed the small and brief story

Just a company that puts on body kits, wheels, custom stuff. To my knowledge its still a factory GT under the hood.

Just me , but when I read the statement that it may cause "over confidence" on their page...
Seemed like what happened in your case

You put him in check real quick.

Good kill

LOL... Man they always DO!

It's been my experience that IF they even LOOK like they want to race... it's the first time they've run up on a Z or TA...

LOL... I was on my way to the track last Friday and I am already excited and anxious to slam the hammer on this new Vig...

I'm out in the county and I see a Black Mustang Convertible coming through traffic and I'm thinkin' its the kid that manages one of the auto-parts stores, who lives out that way.

We run across one another every few months it seems and we always hit it, just to say we did... it's no contest, I crush him every time, but that's what I love about the guy, he's ALWAYS game... and I'm the same way; so anywho... I pull into the right lane to let him in and when he gets along side I slam it and the Car just RIPS down the road... He's 6 cars back and I know he went cause I heard him rev just as I was hittin' the gas...

The thing is, it turned out NOT to be the kid I though it was... I idled along waiting on him and it's another guy who is doing his best to pretend that he didn't go and hadn't even noticed that he'd had his *** handed to him, which is about normal for the GT drivers.

Yeah, most of them won't even try- I like the ricers who are sure that the 'old-school' RWD V-8 is nothing to worry about- some of them are decently quick, but it takes more than a wing, some decals and a fart-cannon exhaust-

nice kill, gotta love stickin' it to the stangs

what's the price on that package?

you'd think if you were gonna get all that custom work done to your car you'd want to select each part individually and make it EXACTLY how you want it for that kind of money instead of a set package
