This was yesterday...

I was on the freeway (in Mexico, of course) and a GTO came up pretty fast behind me. I downshifted and hit it as he got beside me and he got on his too. I went sideways for a second(cold outside. Something like 39) but then pulled away from him. He must have been procharged or turbo'd because I didn't pull away 'that' fast like all the other cars I've raced. After getting up pretty high on the speedometer, I got back down to 75 as we approached some traffic. Once I was ahead of those cars and it was clear again, I pulled over to the right so he could pull beside me and perhaps we could give some thumbs ups or something. Nah.. as soon as I had pulled over, he hit his again so he had about 20mph on me as he shot by. I downshifted to 4th and wound it out, then hit fifth. I had to let off as the nose of my car caught even his rear bumper. I let off to the speed limit again. Fun times!!!

I've heard from a mutual acquaintance that the GTO was turbocharged.

Good kill...GTOs with power adders are pretty fast. I bet he was surprised.
